Despite early theorists suggesting that psychopathic traits are associated with higher intelligence, meta-analytic work has found global psychopathy scores actually negatively related to albeit weakly. Furthermore, it was reported in the same various dimensions of were differentially intelligence. Importantly, virtually all research date relied on cross-sectional associations. The current study examined whether intelligence (verbal comprehension, nonverbal IQ, and a composite) at age 8 48 sample White, urban male individuals from London (analytical n = 292). Results suggested significant, but weak, inverse association between affective, lifestyle, antisocial facets nonsignificant interpersonal facet, as assessed by Psychopathy Checklist: Screening Version.
